So I started playing ARK a few weeks ago
I love gachas

A fun wrap around castle I built in The Southern Islets back in January. One of my favorite areas to build due to the challenge of the land. Daytime shot in last photo.

Finally achieved my goal.

so i finally got to play ark on my pc and honestly I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ROCK DRAKES THEYRE SO FUN
I just hatched a new XSpino, definitely my favorite X-creature
Had an awesome event on our server last night and wanted to share some of my favorite pics
Does anyone know what just happened?
Finally bought the game....
I finally found a unicorn after the infamous save wipe happened and erased mine, sorry for the poor quality just really happy
Breeding is my favorite part of the game
i heard they are adding mutagens in gen 2. couldnt help myself
My friend grabbed me on my deinonychus with a karkinos and she turned huge as a glitch lol

Have been curious about this game since release. Never played because its always been expensive but I noticed its like £10 on xbl marketplace atm so I thought I'd give it a go.

Not what I expected at all!

The menus are weird, the interface is clearly not suited to console even slightly. The art work is super off-putting; it's slick realism and textures but cartoonish text and hud, the animations are glitchy as hell. The environment has no scale, the map marker bears only a vague relation to the players position. The camera perspective seems to be positioned in the players knees?...wtf is that?

I played a good 6-8 hours yesterday on TheIsland594 eu official server (easy south east) and I can't remember ever being so confused and frustrated. I finally figured out the game play and started moving out to explore.

Smashed by a raptor. Smashed by a raptor. Behind every rock or bush another apex predator. Getting spawn killed, respawning waist deep in the environment. Sneaking around the rocks, to avoid raptor: Smashed by a raptor. Creeping around in the bushes, scraping enough material together for a pick and a spear, popping my head out....and bam killed by a raptor. Finally gave up and went to bed at midnight.

I cant believe I'm actually going to switch it straight back on when I get home.....
