I know you can use lootcrates on severs but not on singleplayer. Maybe there is like a command you can use to enable that in singleplayer. Everytime we start a new map, we can all log in no problem at all (non-dedicated) It can take up hours and lots of restarting PC's to get back on the same map. As you might understand this is pretty annoying. We tried to set up dedicated server at home but can't connect there either. We changed firewall ports on all as told on a lot of threads on this issue but this keeps happening. We bought the game on epic but use the Tek launcher for mods. Does anyone have any idea on a possible fix? We thought about renting some server space but I'm kinda scared to put in even more money after all the connecting issues we've had so far. However there seems to be some kind of random number generator involved in mutagel harvesting. Some of the nodes give zero. I did a bunch of testing and averages and tried to find a way to test in a more balanced way. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Best “Viking” Spot on Ragnarok? Posted: 22 Aug 2021 09:34 AM PDT I'm joining a RP server soon where I will be role playing as a Viking. I was wondering what do you guys think would be the best spot on Ragnarok to make a Viking settlement. Preferably needs to be close to if not next to the ocean for ships. The thing that tears me is if Viking Bay or the snow biome would be best. It doesn't have to be super defensable, more RP than anything. If anyone has any ideas let me know. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 22 Aug 2021 11:38 AM PDT So i recently started playing again, last time was a bit during extinction and i remember building in extinction was dangerous because of corrupted dinos and meteors, i can handle the dinos but i just cant find any info as to where and how often meteors fall, if its the same spot evey time and so on... i would greatly appreciate every info you guys have! I'm currently on single player aberration and finally tamed a karkinos but when i cryo'ed him to return to my base it says class disallowed. Ik non aberrant dinos and flyers arent allowed but this doesnt make sense. idk if it matters the only mod im using that affects crabs is Ab-better. | Rexes are pathetic and need another TLC Posted: 22 Aug 2021 08:14 AM PDT Seriously, in the Dinosaur Age, Rexes were the absolute kings, and dominated everything. In ARK? They're fucking pathetic. They get outshined by absolutely EVERYTHING in this game, are barely used and get washed by pretty much everything. One of the only reasons they're used is for boss fights, and even then, even allos are better at it. Hell, I could take a Level 10 Trike and fucking destroy a Rex by simply standing still and spamming clicks. In the wild, even RAPTORS are already more imposing than a Rex when you start, because of that seemingly random roar that gives you 5 solid seconds to buzz off. I would be fine if that roar did anything like the Yuty (You can't tell me you didn't shit your pants the first time you heard a Rex's roar), but it doesn't. It's just there, and by the time the roar is finished, 3/4 of it's HP is gone, just like that. It takes absolutely nothing to beat a Rex, and by the time you reach level 20 you already know how to absolutely vanquish a Rex. TLDR; Rexes are horrid and need the love they deserve.
