Posted: 22 Feb 2022 01:44 PM PST I took a team of 20 of my tek rexes (50k hp and 2k melee) and me in my mek (lvl 430 with shield attachment). 5 of my rexes died and the rest were not gonna make it to wave 7, so I packed up and left at the end of wave 5. | Am I crazy or does the Thylaceo kinda suck ass? Posted: 22 Feb 2022 06:22 AM PST I see this thing praised as being the best shit ever but it seems to just suck in my hands. First of all, it's incredibly slow, my Allos, Theris, Yutis and Spinos vastly outpace it, it feels about as fast as a rex which isn't a good thing as the Rex itself is even slower than a human player. Second no knockback, this means that unless you have a high HP stat, RIP. The Thyla basically has to face tank everything in battle which is just not good at all, if you step foot in the north watch out as wolves can tear through your HP in mere seconds as they swarm around your Thyla. Knockback is incredibly useful and almost everything has it, serving as a great offensive tool (pushing dinos into corners) and defensive (knocking them away before they can hit you), the fact that the Thyla lacks it makes it far riskier to use. And third, the Megalania is a far superior climber, I always see this thing praised as being the best traversal mount as it can "climb over anything!" and "It can skip entire caves!" yet the Thyla can only move directly up and down and struggles badly with uneven walls and is prone to falling off or getting stuck. It does have a pounce attack but it's absolutely terrible as it melts through stamina and leaves you completely vulnerable to getting hit by other dinos. Unless I am missing something the Thyla seems like a sucky tame and you would be way better off using that extraordinary kibble to tame a good Yuty. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 22 Feb 2022 06:54 PM PST Does the weight of your character and the weight the sinocrops can carry effect its flight. I am not sure if this is just my server lagging or not how ever I have found a few times where I use the glide function and I drop to the ground instantly. Similar to if I had pressed shift. I at first thought this was cause I was carrying alot of materials how ever I have had the same issue while bairly carrying anything. Would increasing the sino's carry weight effect this? Has anyone else ran into similar issues? [link] [comments] | ||

We have microsoft version on PC, and Xbox version, and we'd like to have our own screens (split screen is rough). But our internet sucks. | ARK - Mouse Travel Across Two Monitors Posted: 22 Feb 2022 05:02 AM PST If you have the issue where you have two or more monitors, and your mouse (annoyingly) travels outside of the game screen, try the following: disable the graphics settings "ALLOW ENHANCED MAX VIEW DISTANCE MODE" and / or "EXTRA LEVEL STREAMING DISTANCE".
