| How to maximize turret production Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:26 AM PST After getting tired of throwing random amounts of resources into a fabricator and waiting for it to craft turrets so I could throw more crap in I decided to calculate the exact amounts of resources I needed. Organic Polymer: 850 CP (9 slots) 1190 Electronics (12 slots) 2380 Metal (12 slots) 340 Organic Polymer (34 Slots) 17 turrets with 67 slots Hard Polymer: 1600 CP (16 slots) 2240 Electronics (23 slots) 4480 Metal (23 slots) 640 Hard Polymer (7 slots) 32 Turrets with 69 slots Tek Replicator Organic: 6500 CP (65 slots) 9100 Electronics (91 Slots) 36400 Metal (182 slots) 2600 Organic Polymer (260 Slots) 130 Turrets with 598 slots Tek Replicator Hard Polymer: I'll update this later. I'm at 250 turrets and still have like 150 slots left. Electronics: 2000 Metal (10 Slots) 6000 Pearls (60 slots) 2000 electronics with 70 slots which means you need to put in a single gas, start crafting, wait for a stack of pearls to be gone, take out electronics, put the required gas in the empty slot. If you decide to make around 100 turrets per hour solo like I used to do here's the math. Organic Polymer: 3.6 Forges for 21420 Metal (102 turrets) 6 Fabricators (102 turrets) However you need 7140 Electronics for these turrets which is 21420 pearls. This means you will need 4 four fabricators with three making 2000 and one making 1140 (1140 metal, 3420 pearls). Hard Polymer: 3.4 forges for 20160 Metal (96 turrets) 3 Fabricators (96 turrets) However you will need 6720 Electronics with three making 2000 and one making 720 (720 Metal, 2160 Pearls). So Hard Polymer allows you to craft 6 less turrets per hour but you need 2 less fabricators, since you need four for the electronics, which in my opinion is better since it means my crafting station can be more compact.
