Nitrado: Long term Ragnarok PvE server problems

I started this server on day 1 of Nitrado rented and it's almost 16 months old and nearly on game day 12000 (without any adjustments to the day/night cycle), so it's been going for a long time.

After some observations, once the server hit around 5GB of total RAM usuage, it started playing up; lag spikes, server crashes, and player disconnects are way more common. All servers will use up memory over time and admin command wipes make no difference. While this is a thing for all servers, Ragnarok in particular is the worst offender for memory usage, using up 2GB more than my 2nd server of a different map that started at the same time.

I have seen people make other posts about similar memory issues and that 6-7GB is the range for when things get really bad. I spoke to Nitrado who told me that no server should ever reach its 10GB memory cap and for Ragnarok that is true because the server dies way before then.

In the end I'm wiping in a few weeks time, but thought I'd share this with people so they know that Ragnarok will use up memory faster than the other maps. There is nothing you can do to reduce the total RAM without wiping progress, and to put this into perspective; my server recently bugged out and reverted back to a game day 33 save and the total RAM dropped down to 3GB from 5.5GB.

P.S. This server in particular has already been moved to different hardware in its lifetime and that made no difference.

TLDR: Ragnarok servers use up way more memory than the other maps so will die a premature death in comparison to the others when picking a home server.

Best settings for a duo?

I haven't played Ark since the game first arrived on Xbox. I'm sure there's been a ton of stuff added, and I don't really know what to expect. But I know the grind on default settings is pretty intense, so I wanted to know good world settings that wouldn't be extremely grindy for a duo but also not being too easy where we just breeze through everything.

Respawn problem

Come back to ark after a few year starting playing on SP and iv kill dinos all over the map just not in the snow bit and nothing is respawning back in its just empty. Any ideas?

Euryptid Scare

Has anyone else seen these out of the water? I was playing last night and they were everywhere in Viking bay on ragnarok. They knocked me in one hit and I had a rough time getting my gear back. I am not sure how or why they are out of water but be careful around there.

Adding ab dinos to rag server

I'm looking to add aberration dinos onto my rag server. I've seen posts all over. Im mainly looking to add the basic ones for the time being. The ones that can be tamed without having to spawn in other items.

I've seen that adding these spawns in do not count toward the total spawn count. Has this been fixed and also where can I find single codes for each animal? The ones I've came across are just mainly bulk codes for every ab dino.

Alpha on server please help

Hi I play a nitrado server called ARK-R-US and the alpha has built in the desert cracks.

It is ragnarok.

The tribe name is cavemen.

They act nice but wipe everyone.

Can someone help
