    Official PvP. Ground levels 90-96 this weekend on official for the sole purpose of being able to craft a giga saddle to move our tribe's cherished max tame giga to a safer area. It was brutal. Finally break L96 at 2AM Monday morning. Still determined to move the giga.

    Craft the saddle.

    Hop on the Argy.

    Fly across the map to the giga.

    Oh look a couple Allosauruses just below m

    Try desperately to get back in. Got in for long enough to hear them munching me then host connection kicked me back out.

    Feel completely demoralized. Hopeless.

    Finally get back in. Grab a Ptera. RUSH to the scene.

    THAT FUGGING ARGY IS JUST STANDING THERE GLOATING OVER THE CORPSES OF THOSE ALOS LOL

    Got the giga moved. All is well.

    God I hate this game sometimes. But god I love it sometimes too.

    How to make official ark playable to casuals

    Hear me out and please read! Create new map with evenly distributed resources all around(island size, nothing special) make the map permanently only transferable from not to; (like any new map) NO DOWNLOAD WHAT SO EVER including characters.

    On this map:

    •Max dino level is 100 (only island dinos) Gigas nerfed on this map only

    •Gather rates are ×6 xp ×6 **Metal, polymer and obsidian NOT ×6 increase explosives cost

    •NO TEK

    • Taming rate ×6

    • Breeding ×2 (1/2 interval timer)

    •Building limit way lower

    •Turrets per 10,000 units lowered

    •Tame cap drastically lower

    • No alliances 6 man tribe max

    • Special ORP that makes any structure or dino ×3 or ×5 health (unless dino is on aggressive) ×2 damage on turrets.( just basic idea should be tweaked)

    •Lv 80 drops tier upto mastercraft

    •Crop growth in 2 hours making kibble obtainable in 1 day

    This map would be a starter map that casual players could get a footing on and then transfer to a regular server when they feel ready, with breeding they could obtain okay dinos but not nearly as good as other official servers. With these settings mega tribes shouldn't be very interested in running these servers, especially because no special creatures or tek. Since no transfer between these servers if you wanted to raid a base on one of these servers you'd have to join make a lv 1 Bob and build up to it like ark used to be. This would also provide a fall back server to make it harder to be 100% wiped. This is just a rough idea but I'd love to hear input/tweaks/faults. Also would be cool for loot crates/ red or yellow drops to rarely drop cryopods on this map. Thanks for reading

    Kibble for food in trough?

    The spoil times and the stack size of kibble is much larger than that of cooked meat. You can give dinos kibble and they will eat it as food. When i placed kibble into all of my troughs, things worked for the first initial burst of hunger as i saw their desired kibble number on the stack go down. Rex = yellow. I went out to hunt for melee rex. I come back and all of my dinos have a trough red icon meaning they are hungry. I emptied the trough and picked them up and placed them again. No changes.

    What am i doing wrong? Why did they stop eating? Why is food not food? Confused.

    I'm looking for an experience somewhere between Dark Souls and Fallout on survival mode. I want to feel like surviving is an achievement. I refuse to look up any build information or tips on how to approach the game. Will the sliders in their default position achieve this goal, or do I need to tweak them a bit?
