I've already realized that I can use them for keep creatures unconscious for longer. But are there any other uses for it? And I never realised what's the purpose of the blood extraction syringe...

I need your help and advice with taming my first raptor

started playing ark this weekend, so far i am level 40/42 (not sure, hit couple of explorers notes), and for the life of me i can't catch a raptor. so far i have tried bolas and tranq arrows (it was stuck in the forest near s3 spawnpoint, and after it went unconscious i ran for meat, and lost the raptor), i have tried a taming raft, but the raptor got next to me, instead of in the cage, and killed me, and i have tried it on top of a trike.

during the last attempt (the trike) there were 0 raptor spawns, i have tried the river on the southeast corner of the map, the forest next to it, and the delta next to that, since i know there should be spawns there. on that trip i have seen 0 raptors.

what would you advise me to do to get my first raptor tamed? not a big fan of the bola, because when i can finally throw it, the raptor is already chomping my face off.

should i remake my taming raft, or something else?

Mantis still broken.

After the most recent patch that included a mantis fix in the patch notes, the mantis is still broken. When you attempt to put a tool in its hand it automatically is added to their inventory instead and cannot be equipped. I'd really like to have my mantis back for farming!
