Need advice to pick PvP server

Hey everyone, me and 1 or 2 friends of mine want to play genesis when it launches, but we do not know if we want to play on official or unofficial. We have tried both in the past and here is what we think:

We don't like mods. Even just s+ is too much because we think it is rather OP that stack sizes are different, weight is reduced and you can place structures like forges inside each other.

our server also had a shop that allowed you to buy high lvl reapers/rock drakes and stuff (we played on ab) which really ruined the gameplay for us because you don't have to go out and tame one.

But the nice thing about unofficial is that the mods can help you personally (if the server is not too big). Also: rules on when to PVP (only weekends for example) because I cannot play 24/7 which is almost a requirement on official.

Our tribe is also relatively small at the moment so even smalltribes is going to be challenging. (a 3 v 6 fight with equal gear is really difficult)

We don't really know what to do right now. I have not found any unofficial servers that just run the vanilla game. Does anyone know of one of these servers? Any other tips and suggestions are more than welcome.
