| Posted: 25 Apr 2020 01:18 AM PDT Hi all. Solo player on official PVE here. I'm just trying to confirm the best way to protect my stuff when I go on vacation, which won't be until the world gets back to normal so I have time to prepare. It's likely that I'll be unable to log in for 14-21 days. I know that this means I'll lose all tames that aren't in pods and most structures. I don't have access to tek tier at present so will need to revise plans if that changes but tek seems miles away at the moment. Lengths of time mentioned are what I've read online, please correct me if any info is wrong or out of date. Tames- If I put a breeding pair of everything I want to keep into pods, place these in cryofridges placed straight onto the ground, the cryofridges should last 40 days, powered by a regular generator on a metal foundation for the first 16 days until that auto decays, presuming pods are fully charged at that point they should still be okay to retrieve for another 24 days after the generator has decayed. Have I got that right or have I misunderstood? As for protecting items, I believe that Vaults and metal foundations both last for 16 days, but that vault timers reset when they fall. Does this mean that vaults on metal are gone after 16 days as they both decay at the same time? Or does the the vault fall as the foundation decays and then lasts for a further 16 days (32 days total)? If it would only last 16 days is it better to make a floor of stone inside my metal base to put vaults on so that when the stone auto decays the vault falls to a lower floor and the timer jumps back back to 16 days giving a total of 28 days? Or would it even reset again after the metal floor below decays 4 days after the stone so actually could vault over stone over metal actually last 32 days? | "Dedicated" Server Hosting: Save data, where does it go? Posted: 24 Apr 2020 04:18 PM PDT I have a question, and as a preface, I have several systems that will need to be shuffled around. Does the save data for a dedicated server stay with the account or the system? Say I have been running the dedicated server on System A, but that system is needed for something else. If I switch over to System B with the same account, will it retain the save data? I was thinking about hosting this game for friends. I have a resource pool of four potential systems, but sometimes I do not have free use of all four. Just trying to figure out the best way to go about this! Two tribes on my server merged into one, and not all of the structures switched over properly. I know how to make ownership of structures to transfer over to me, but I'm not sure if there's a way to give ownership to someone else. Anyone familiar with this problem? Thanks!
