    I tamed two pteranodons (not sure if I spelled it right) a while back and have been working up to getting the materials for a saddle so I can fly to the volcano to get metal and obsidian. I had the hardest time getting chitin or keratin. I stuck to using carbonemys since the only insects were surrounded by raptors and I was NOT about to deal with that. It took me like a week irl to get the materials. I finally took off with a decently leveled up one and had to take a break for it's stamina. I checked thoroughly to make sure there were no raptors since it was a forest biome and I landed. 3 RAPTORS CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND ATTACKED ME!! I tried to fly away but I got pinned and my pteranodon tried to fight. I was scared and ran all the way home (passing two more packs of raptors might I add) and now I don't know how to get my dino back. Is she even alive?? Should I just make a new saddle? If so then what's the best way to get chitin or keratin? My best weapon is a bow and longsword because I have no metal thats not near raptors, but I do have some good tames I could utilize. (Sorry for the long backstory; I am also playing on mobile if that helps)
