Accidentally improved the method for taming Crystal Wyverns

    Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:15 AM PDT

I'm sure everybody knows about getting on the backs of Crystal Wyverns and riding it while you tame it, but I found a way to add to it. All it involves is a crossbow and a grapple with you weighing heavy, real heavy.

Just jump on its back as usual and then pull out your grapple crossbow. Shoot the grapple at the back of its head and leave it attached. It'll try to fly but since you weigh way more than it can carry it won't even move. It'll just chill exactly where it's at until you let the grapple loose or the tame is complete! So just keep it grappled and feed crystals when needed. No more trees knocking you off!

    Increased base rates to 2x

    Posted: 31 Aug 2020 03:10 PM PDT

Does anyone else notice how all the rates have gone back to 1x? I've been picking up 1 stone and taming wyvs is slower than it was when crystal isles released. Anyone know what's up?

Vacuum pods and large Dino breeding?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2020 08:41 AM PDT

Anyone tried it with any real success? How many pods y'all do you need for a giga or wyvern? Hatching them is no problem but if you have to cryo and release it becomes an issue. Bases need to be at least 2 pods tall for a dust gacha to sustain it obviously, but curious on bigger Dinos.

    Change to taming effectiveness

    Posted: 31 Aug 2020 03:42 AM PDT

I haven't played this game in over a year. When did they change how taming works? I'm sure the old way was the effectiveness would go down over time, or if it took dmg. No it goes down every time a dino eats... Edited: found out the problem. I was taming a cat marsupial thing and cooked muttons bring down the effectiveness where as raw do not. I'm just an idiot lol
