    I was watching "The Croods" earlier and the scene when the dad and the big cat fly in the rib cage (linked below), made me think of when you get raided by an alpha tribe, and the last member of your tribe is just frantically trying to save everybody's favorite tame as the base comes crashing down, and meeting back with the rest of the tribe at their spawns with the tames. Idk, I just thought it was kinda cool

    Hit me with your PvE mods!

    I absolutely love this game, but can't bring myself to invest in the PvP. Traditionally I'll host a server for myself and a small group of friends and do my best to spice up the PvE experience for longevity and difficulty. It's been a constant experiment. It's been probably two years or so since the last time we've played, and I'm looking for some suggestions from the community for mods to check out.

    Map suggestions are much appreciated as well. The more complete the better. We've had lots of fun on Ragnarok and The Center. I appreciate a range of dino availability. The less I have to swap to other maps for different species the better.

    I'm not strictly opposed to overhaul mods, but I steer away from things that trivialize aspects of the game as well as adding a bunch of unimmersive fantasy creatures that just feel out of place.

    Convenience mod suggestions are also much appreciated. But again, I don't want to make the game overtly easier. Things like snappy saddles are nice. And I typically play with a stacking mod that isn't too forgiving and respects balance choices like not being able to stack mutton.

    We are builders, and love to build communities and interesting buildings! If you have any building, furnishing and architecture suggestions, please share!

    And finally, if you have favorite server hosting service, please share. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

    Trying to download the New update on steam is giving me all sorts of headaches

    Earlier today I had a 15gb update for Ark, I installed it going from anywhere from 0 bytes to 3mb/s. I have over 300 mb/s download speed. It took 2 and a half hours just for 15 goddamn gigabytes and then after it downloaded everything it installed it for another 45 minutes. Then GUESS WHAT, it DELETED THE FUCKING UPDATE AND I HAVE TO RESTART ALL OVER AGAIN FROM 0.

    Storage Advice for ark

    Hey i was wondering if there was the possibility to split some of the game data. I have two hard disks in my PC one of which has 74.7 Gb free of 111Gb and the other one has 17,5 Gb free of 119. The game is on the bigger hard disk and i was wondering if i could split the game data since i am worried that future updates and singelplayer worlds wont fit in one harddisk. I am Using the Epic Games version of the game.

    Game Chat Analysis

    Hello Studio Wildcard,

    I am a Computer Science student at New College of Florida. I am currently am in my 3rd year of study (but might graduate a semester early ). A class I am taking this semester is Natural Language Processing. Though it is early in the semester I am learning a lot about it. This class requires a final research project of our choice and I am interested in processing an online video game's chat later in the semester. I would be highly interested in processing some of ARK's chats from different official servers. My main question is if such data exists? If so I would love to use it for my final project, with permission of course.

    Research topics could include popularity of some topics, how 'toxic' the chat is, perhaps even a chat emulator or predictor. Maybe answer some questions about the most talked about dino on a server etc.

    But first I need to know if it is even a possibility.

    PS. I love ARK and it has inspired and influenced much of my work. ( I am pursuing game development as a career. )
