    Low FPS Confusion. Computer specs included, want to get off DX10, please help!!

    So without DX10 (which i can't really use properly.. bugs out graphics on Rag's lava cave which I play very often, how do I get any actual framerates in ARK? My specs are below, as well as my settings (according to NVIDIA) and launch options. ARK also doesnt really ever max out my CPU or GPU.

    Specs:

    • AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT @ 3.90GHz
    • 32GB RAM (dont know which) @ 2133MHz
    • GTX 1060 6GB
    • MPG X570 Mobo (maybe unimportant)
    • Some random 1TB Samsung M.2 SSD
    • Some overkill power supply

    Settings:

    I want to go back to DX11, DX10 just looks like shit. My monitor is 144Hz but anything above 50 would be fine for me. At the moment, I get around 80 on The Island, 35 on Extinction, 15 on Genesis Pt.1, and Rag depends on where I am but it peaks around 95 in MurderSnow or the Desert.

    The only mod I play with is S+, but I'm willing to take alternatives as long as they have silent machines / generators. I play mostly PvE, but I also hop on MTS whenever beginner's wipes for a couple days.

    Thank you so much in advance, even if you just read it and comment "I have no idea how to fix it" it's helpful.

    Edit: One more thing, I have Discord and a very limited Opera GX running in the background or on my 2nd monitor at most times.

    Edit 2: Another detail that *might* matter is that I've been playing ARK now for about 3 years without reinstalling the game. I'll do that eventually but if that could be causing lag, then I'll gladly reinstall.

    I am in dilemma right now. Should I start a whole new survival world on the center for the "Survivor of the center" achievement or just import my dinos from the Island save and beat the final boss that way?

    Advice for starting aberration (PVP)

    I've got a level 70 character that I'm going to transfer over to Aberration this afternoon, I've probably got around 1k hours but haven't really spent much time on this map at all. (Maybe an hour) Does anyone have advice for getting started on this map?

    Ex. Where to spawn? What dino should I use to move around the map? How much am I going to hate myself?

    Edit: Plan on staying on Aberration permanently

    I wanted a useful tool for keeping track of dino stats so I made this spreadsheet. It has a calculator that will tell you how many points are in a stat, a sheet to keep track of what stats you are hunting for, and several sheets for keeping track of your mutation stats.

    I just started a single player playthrough on rag and noticed there is hardly any dinos around. I've tried destroywilddinos and even put -preventhibernation in but nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone come across this before?

    Names on my cryopodded tames are showing up black? I've put them in and out of the cryopod and all of their names are persistently black. Never seen this before, anyone know what it is?

    Why do dinos run off?

    Me and my friend went to go get a new tek raptor and we found a few but when i got off mine and used a bola on the one we wanted my raptor ran off a cliff and now i can't find it which sucks. i was wondering if there is a certain aggression level i need to keep them at in order to keep them from running off. if so please tell me what it is cause we've already lost dinos from them running off.

    As the title says. Im wondering if theres a mod or an INI that increases the duration of consumables? fir example cactus broth lasts 10 mins, I want it to last 30. Any help or direction would be appreciated.
