    soooo, i have like 1000 hours on ark on play windows play anywhere ark, and it feels like there's not to many populated servers on there anymore so, i was wondering if it would be worth switching to steam ark. does anyone know if it has a lot more players or servers?

    I have a issue with genesis part I in snow biome when i stand top of snow my fps drops to 10 but when i stand top of mountain or rock my fps going back to 60 is there any way to solve this problem ?

    I just got my first rex!!! I never in 1k hours of playing got any further than a rex unless i was in creative mode.

    This is on official btw, i was able to knock it out with a ton of arrows and i was actually able to keep it safe the whole time!

    Island Difficulty Offset 1 + "Champion Settings" eventual boss fight?

    I've got hundreds of hours in Ark but I've never made it to a boss fight because I usually get bored of a save before getting to that point.

    Decided to change things up from the usual (rush to argys, tame 150s, shred everything) playstyle to something completely different. Difficulty at level 1 (so max lv 30 dinos), fliers disabled (no easy exploring, gathering, or picking up tames and dropping them in a box), as well as using the following settings:

    CHAMPION SETTINGS (high challenge, for very experienced players looking for high challenge) DifficultyOffset=1.0 DinoDamageMultiplier=3.0000 DinoResistanceMultiplier=0.333 PlayerDamageMultiplier=3.000 PlayerResistanceMultiplier=0.333 DinoCharacterHealthRecoveryMultiplier=2.00 (all other combat stats vanilla)

    Plan to explore the map fully and find all the notes for the lore/story and beat the caves legitimitely as well.

    So far so good, leaving base is actually fairly scary. I can handle most things with flak armor and a shotgun, but caves are evil, and the toughest things I've killed so far (level 20 something Theri and Carno) just about killed me, and a level 7 Alpha Raptor completely wrecked me.

    I digress, tames are now pretty weak, my freshly tamed Chalico got owned by a level 20 Carno, sharks bite my Bary for 100 damage a tick, and without the right plate activated three trikes would probably kill my 8000HP Stego.

    My question is, for someone who has played with these settings or knows more than I do - is it worth eventually taming and breeding Rexes for the boss fights or are they just going to get wiped as well?
