| Does the taming bonus count towards breeding? Posted: 01 Feb 2022 03:13 AM PST Do the bonus levels your dinos get for a perfect tame affect how many levels the offspring will have or not? I was almost done taming a great new baryonyx when a damn sarco hit it and it lost 29 levels out of the 49 level bonus. My argie killed the sarco but it was too late. | Posted: 01 Feb 2022 12:12 AM PST I have some questions regarding stego soaking This is the thing i know : - we cannot be z off or dismounted when using hardened plate which give reduce damage (excluding the stego getting netted) - we cannot be directly hit except by flamethrower and poison wyvern spit/basilisk spit - walking backwards give less damage rather than walking up But i have doubts from the things above because yesterday i was stego soaking walking up and there is just plant x and turrets and i died over and over again, i was on hardened plate and a question arise, can we be sniped when mounting stegos like when we mount other dinos? If a turret is high enough and set to survivor only will we be directly hit by it? Any other things i should know is much appreciated [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 01 Feb 2022 05:21 PM PST Seriously it feels like in terms of standard overworld gameplay, everything seems to outclass it bar the HP department. Literally the only reason I use it is because its tall and has high health letting me tranq dangerous dinos without making a gaint ass trap, though soon I might ditch it for a Paracer because they are faster and have a platform on which to place turrets. The biggest issue I have is just how ridiculously slow it is, I could have sworn it used to be way faster, but for whatever reason the Rex is made to be one of the slowest things in ARK, even slower than a Giga. Futhermore it melts through stamina while sprinting so it can't even run that long. Now that would be fine if it had some big ability that demanded it be slow as to not be absolutely broken. And it has one… And that is a roar that: makes dinos poop… That's it… "But it stuns!" I hear some say… Well it does but the stun is ridiculously short! The roar itself leaves the Rex immobile longer than the stun effect, maybe it has some usage if paired with allied dinos that can attack while the Rex is locked in the roar, but honestly just bring a Yutyrannus, its roars are way more useful. Now for buffing… I think it either needs a movement speed buff to put it on par with Spinosaurus and Therizino (both of which already outclass it in DPS) or a better ability, maybe a bit of both because holy shit is the movement speed atrocious. For ability… The Rex should temporarily inflict injured with its bite. I mean come on! The Rex is known for its bone crushing bite unrivaled by any other dinosaur. And hey, if it's kept slow as molassses… It might as well slow down its prey too. Update: Also Rex should be able to damage stone. [link] [comments] | ||

I know u can normally bring 20 but if I am playing with a friend does that number increase. Also will 19 rexes with prim saddles, 20k health, and 500% melee be enough?
