| Posted: 14 Mar 2022 01:21 AM PDT Hi all I know this is going to come across as a bit of a stupid question here but I am a noob when it comes to being the owner of a server as in I've only ever played on someone else's server I've never gone out & made my own.. however my friend just gave me control over their server & I don't know what exactly I need to do with the info I was given..I know I can just send them a message & ask but to be honest I didn't realize I needed help until a few hours after they sent me the info & we live in different time zones so I rather just ask here vs having to ask them unless it's necessary.. first question I have is what are credantials? And where would I need to type this in? I'm guessing it will need to be on my PS4 when I'm logged into the game I'm just not sure what part of my game I have to go into etc... TIA edit I'm only asking where to put the information I was given into so I can set up and fix as needed not asking how to actually run it as some are saying. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 13 Mar 2022 08:13 PM PDT Me and my friend were playing ark today and it seems I get randomly kicked from the server and join back is almost impossible as it just says connection timed out. my router is only a few feet away and I has 200 megabyte internet. I've only able to join back after restarting the game. Any tips on how to fix this. I'm running ark on the latest version and my ps4 is updated to the latest firmware (ps4 pro) [link] [comments] |
| Dedicated server hosting question Posted: 13 Mar 2022 08:38 AM PDT My fiancée and I have recently started playing ark on ps4 together and though I played for a long time on PC she's new to the game altogether. I want to keep her away from a live server because we like playing just the two of us and sometimes go several days between being able to get on so I've been hosting a non dedicated game but we hate the tether. If I host a dedicated server on my ps4 can I A) play while hosting the server? B) play without her being tethered to me? C)stop hosting the server when we stop playing for the day without losing any progress or experiencing any issues? [link] [comments] |
