    Rate the popularity of ark maps!

    Just for discussion and knowing more about the ark community, how would you rate the maps according to how much they're played? Mine is

    1. Ragnarok - free and has a lot of stuff

    2. Extinction - well it's the latest and has quick access to tek

    3. Aberration - farmer's paradise but no flyers so some people are put away by that

    4. Island - the OG map but people really only go there for tek cave or when bored of rag (from what I've seen)

    5. The center - kinda the sacred place of solo and small tribes cause there are so many places to hide

    6. Scorched earth - "you can get everything in this dlc from ragnarok" well except the stupidly op desert crates

    Renting and modding a server

    About me and ten other friends want to start playing Ark on our own private server. Not really sure what website offers the best deal or which are safe. Mods are another story. We wanna be able to do most things the game has to offer in a week or two. So if it's anything like Rust maybe 2-3x everything? opinions for a new player are welcome!

    Summoning expansion creatures on the switch?

    Does anybody know how this works? I tried summoning a Griffin this morning and was extremely surprised when it actually worked. So I thought I'd try summoning a rock drake, but nothing happened. I tried wyvern and reaper, neither worked.

    Here's the interesting part: I summoned an untamed rock drake, and suddenly my Griffin and ptero started taking damage and fighting an invisible enemy. Is it possible that these creatures can be summoned but not seen? Why does the Griffin show up? I don't have time to mess around too much today but was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

    For those who don't know, the switch version only has the island map. I know the switch version's a mess, you don't have to tell me. I'm having fun.

    Hello!

    I'm a parent of an awesome 7yo girl. She loves playing with me on the XBox One, and we usually play minecraft and terraria.

    I am looking for a possible future game for us to play, and Ark came to mind, since she is really into dinosaurs. How hard is the game? For reference, we usually play minecraft together on easy - even though sometimes she just goes into creative mode to build things.

    ​

    I am looking for a game with a bit of crafting, not exactly complex and that is slightly challenging - it can't be too much for her, but if it is not challenging we don't have objectives and it can grow old.

    Also: on the Xbox, we can play local coop (each one of our own account) fine with just 1 cd/license, right?

    Can this work? Server setup questions within...

    I currently run a crossplay (xbox and MS store versions) cluster hosted by Nitrado that has no issues. But i want to expand and had some thoughts.

    1). Can i run a server from a PC and have crossplay enabled? Or is Nitrado the only path for crossplay?

    2). If #1 is "yes you can", can mods be added to this server and still allow xbox players to play on it?

    3). Lastly, if the machine has 16 gb ram with a 1TB SSD and the CPU is an i7-2700k, how many of these 10 person servers can be run on different ports?

    4). The hail marry: can this server be added to the current cluster?

    I can upgrade down the road, but this is the specs of a spare machine I have right now. Today.

    Please enlighten me if there are holes in my thoughts of questions i'm not asking. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
