ARK on Xbox One Mammoth TLC Ideas |

I'm thinking maybe it should have different types of saddles, such as: Incubator Saddle: a saddle that functions like an S+ hatchery for certain eggs, with the mammoth picking up and incubating eggs to 0.1%. It'd even be OK if it only incubated with the insulation in the area + a little hypo - a little hyper. This would make mutations on singleplayer much more reasonable. There could be a setting allowing you to enable/disable the mammoth walking towards the eggs it needs to pick up or limiting it to the range it's standing in. Collector Saddle: a saddle with a basket that lets the mammoth function like a gacha but without eating the items. This would function like the incubator saddle but it wouldn't incubate and it'd pick up anything dropped. You could possibly even have settings (allow pickup feces, eggs, tools/weapons, structures, armor, gacha crystals) to further specify what it's needed for. This would help with gacha crystals, so that they don't decompose before you can pick them up if you're off doing something else. Nomad Saddle: mini platform (wood or thatch) that has a durability which can be reduced until the platform is destroyed and it is reduced to a normal saddle. This platform can't be built on, but automatically has a small campfire and bed, as well as a small lean-to structure covering the bed, protecting survivors from rain. This saddle could be an attachment to a normal saddle, or a whole different type entirely. Ballista Saddle: exactly what it sounds like. The same mini platform as the nomad but with a ballista turret instead of bed and fire As well as these, the mammoth should be able to pick up small animals, maybe a thylacoleo at the biggest, in it's trunk. Also, since real life elephants can do this, a trumpet that can be heard from anywhere within the render distance would be cool. Speaking of real life elephants, a mammoth variant similar to the real life elephants alive today would surely be welcomed to the jungles of the ARK with open arms. (Also the bamboo found in the jungle should be harvestable as bamboo with an axe, but that's unrelated. [link] [comments]  |
