    Everyone in my tribe was wondering update 299.26 was so large, so I thought I'd take a look:

    I started by running a command to create a .csv list of all the files in my /ARK directory before the update, then, I performed the update and created another list using the same command.

    I compared the two file lists using the python library 'csvdiff' to save some time, et voila, I had a list of all the files that were different before the update and after.

    I'm not going to list the whole thing here because it's too long, but here's the summary:

    • There were 781 files added in total About 150 of them were removed then re-added, indicating they were just being updated.
    • 736 of those files (or 94%) contained the word "HLNA" (the little robot you get for buying the seasons pass).
    • The remainder were mostly explorer note related

    Whats with all the ark trashtubers bashing on the new skin? They run their mouths acting like this skin is what they paid for, its the only content they're going to get out of genesis...I get that they're all content hungry and clawing at something to get views, but every single one of them is crying over the chronicles. I haven't seen a single one of them with videos or tutorials on blender/unity model creations yet here they are acting like they know every thing about how shitty the skin model is... anything to stay relevant i suppose. -endrant

    I have played ark on ps4 for a while now and have just discovered that p+ is in the game mode options. I have never played p+ and would like to have some useful knowledge about it like how to download (if it needs to) ,if it changes anything with my current save game and what it adds/takes away.

    Chitin Cave

    I've tried doing the Chitin cave on The Island close to 5 times now. I still can't figure out a way to completely clear the cave without getting mega rabies. Every single time I step foot in that cave, I get mega rabies in a matter of seconds until I just die. If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd highly appreciate it! Thanks!

    S+Item Transfer tool - where are presets saved?

    I've found lots of threads on how to use the tool, but nothing so far on where the tool configurations themselves are saved.

    Basically what I want to do is to be able to create a new S+ Transfer tool and copy the presets from one tool to another. I use the same basic setup of my bases on all maps, so it would be way easier just to copy a config rather than redo all the presets each time I either setup a new base or die and lose the tool.

    My guess is that there has to be a .txt file somewhere with these presets saved after creating them on a tool, but haven't had any luck finding one in the ARK > Shooter Game directory so far. Does anyone know where these presets are saved?

    Dear Wildcard: please use Store publishing options effectively

    Tagging /u/wildcardced in case this can be passed along.

    People on the Win10 Play Anywhere client (including those such as me who host a server with it) are in a sadly familiar position: the latest patch went live everywhere else, but is held up in cert for the Win10 version.

    This means that Xbox users can't connect to any of the existing servers hosted that way and that people using that client are hosed with updated servers, too. This has happened several times in the past and has averaged a week or longer to be able to play again.

    Stuff happens, I know--I'm an engineer myself. The thing is, if I'm understanding what's happening here, this problem is very easily prevented.

    The default in the store profile is "publish ASAP when cert finishes." If that's switched over to manual, you can wait until all of the endpoints are staged before rolling out a synchronized update.

    I'm at the tail end of a very long week (coincidentally with plenty of my own pain working with UWP and Store) and was looking forward to the little bit of unwind time in the game. The publish desync dashed that and, given history, likely dashed the weekend, too.

    I understand that crap happens but this is a pretty easy one to fix. Please consider adding a manual hold option to your publishing step.

    Also, complete aside, a bloom toggle on Xbox would be great. Plenty of room for another checkbox in the third column. Just sayin'.

    Can you tame Onyc anywhere else besides The Island?

    I wanted Onycs for the longest time. The thing is Onyc on Rag or Scorched dont seem to be tameable. Now I am on a cluster with The Island and The Center. Thought I'd give it another try.

    Whats the best place to tame Onyc on any of the maps?

    v299.26 patch broke Rag

    Anyone else having issues loading into Rag, or am I alone? I've got 4 rigs with ARK installed, and Rag crashes on 3 of 4 while loading in since this v299.26 patch.

    Have verified files on my main rig, no dice. Just reinstalled the entire game, no cigar.

    Still no windows update?

    Our private server is hosted on windows and half of us play on Xbox.

    But since there has been no windows update and all of our Xboxes forced us to update we can't connect to our server.

    Why is there still no windows update?

    I want to better understand the variabled in SmartBreeder

    New player here and just started breeding. I've been using SmartBreeder and can't find info on many of the fields found on the llibrary tab. Can anbody explain or point me to a resource that could explain what variable like Wa, Te, Fr, Cr are? Also, I assume C1 to C5 are coefficients but what exactly does that mean and what do the color codes correspond to?
