| Posted: 25 Jan 2019 09:13 AM PST Tragic story I want to share. My buddy just bought Ark and I've been playing about a month (LOVE IT). We get started on an unofficial server. Our base is wood and a thatch. We're killing dodo's for hide. He had the day off and binged. He texts saying he keeps getting killed by an Alpha Raptor and that him dying all the time is leveling up the raptor. THIS IS REALLY SUSPICIOUS!! When I log later that day, he's kited it away and tamed a bunch of dilos and a few trikes. I score us a low lvl Theri before the Alpha comes back. It's level 150. Trikes and Theri go down. I go down. The alpha is really torn up and runs away. I'm thinking I can get this done and run to my body, get my stuff, an alpha pounces on me and kills me dead. This one is level 80, so I know there's 2. Alpha80 seems to be having a really hard time eating my dead body and my buddy just stands back and shoots it with arrows until it dies. He levels 20 times. Enter Alpha60, who does the exact same thing. I'm just feeding him arrows to keep shooting. Alpha60 dies. It's been like 5 or 10 minutes, who can tell time in Ark... He's level 67 now. I got nothing, even though I was really close to him. I get my stuff and he runs away to play with his new engrams. I go hunting Alpha150 bc I know he's close to dead. I find an explorer note. AWESOME! I'm going to get double XP for this. I find him not too far from the base, climb up a big rock and shoot him. Headshot. He takes off in the opposite direction, runs into a spiked fence, takes 2 damage and dies. I get 0 XP. I am still level 21. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 25 Jan 2019 12:48 AM PST So I'm playing on an unofficial Ragnarok server and I want to create a mantis farm to get some rock golems, the issue with that is to create an effective farm I need to tame around 50 or so which would put our tame cap at 250 very close. So my question is, if someone leaves my tribe, makes a tribe and allies with us, can I collect the mantis eggs? [link] [comments]  | ||
